A brilliant explanation of dyslexia by Josh Penn Design
What it is like to be dyslectic by author Artist Ryn Shell
I read things until I get three versions in a row that are the same.
Then. if it's important information, I seek a second opinion that I read it correctly.
Things can read funny: The men drinking bears had frothy moths. She excreted herself at the gym.
I need to read multiple times until I get words, bear, mouth, exerted, that make sense within the sentence, then, I do the extra read through to confirm the information. It makes reading and writing slow, but possible.
I also need to tell myself to not be embarrassed by my typos. I once feared to show words I'd written. That held me back dreadfully. To write seven novels was my mastery challenge over fear.
Some people will never understand. my friends accept that I'm dyslectic. I warn them, if I call them a fiend, I meant friend.
