Here is an inexpensive home made version of a treadmill desk
Here's a professional version you can order though the link below.
aIt's struck me many times when I've been at craft shows, craft markets authors festivals, labour intensive creative work leads to a lot of overweight artists, crafts people and authors.
Does it have to be that way? Can we be creative and exercise at the same time?
Or how about using a treadmill mill desk? I've been reading about ideas of building a desk around a treadmill and walking at ~ 1MPH
I did try reading books on my treadmill but found I couldn't/ I had not considered walking for longer at a slower speed. i think this is a great idea. It will e several weeks before I can get home and begin to turn my fitness gym at home into a combined creative work room and fitness gym.
Take a look at this idea too. Office Walkers. I have applied for membership. I would love to give this a serious trial. By serious i do mean that. I'll hook a computer to my Evo treadmill and an audio book reader to my exercise bike. Between the two of these I hope over two years to work off the forty kilo I've gained over two years writing two full length novels.
I am heading back to my summer retreat in the Northern Victoria soon I have a professional treadmill and exercise bike there. I need to incorporate it into my sedentary creative lifestyle and change my lifestyle to a creatively fit life.
