Here are a few fitness plans from some great senior ladies who are confident enough to be their own fitness trainer,
'I go to Zumba or yoga 5 nights a week so can't have a big meal in the evening. Exception is Wed when I try to do yoga followed by Zumba so tend to have some protein between the classes. Yoghurt or small protein drink at most before yoga if I have at least 90 mins before class & don't sleep in.'
I workout first thing in the morning - 3 lifting days 1 yoga day and 1 cardio day. On my lifting day I have a pre workout supplement as soon as I get up which has 11g of protein in it and then have a carb heavy breakfast as soon as I've finished to refuel my body.
I also walk every day av 6-10 km's total and do weights at home 2or 3 days plus the yoga & Zumba in classes. I think by trial & error we work out over time what food suits our bodies best.
Looking forward to getting back on target......just kidding myself at the moment. Four grand kids over for holidays and everything seems to have gone out the window especially eating. No exercise getting done either.....feeling like a blob!
