My answer is yes, if you are knowledgeable about the subject you write about, or engage expert guest writers, and if you love blogging; no, if you are in it or the money. I am reviving my blogs following a hiatus while I relocated to my new home and studio.

Checking the latest blogging advice before beginning.
These appear to still be popular topics to blog about that fit the definition of these blogs. I have made a list of those that suit various blogs and will ask the blog owners niche topics they find to draw the most reader interest. Market research before beginning any writing project will save wasted time.

Below are too many topics in that 'popular blog topics'  for success

Find your target audience, Better to be soon as a big fist in a small (niche interest group) pond than be a little fish lost in a big sea of topics, and therefore unseen and rarely read. Just be sure enough people are visiting your small pond to be noticed.

Who is your target audience?
I interact with a diverse group of people. What are the topics we talk about? Which blog topics might read. What subjects can I find relevant and easy to write about from personal experience?
I need to narrow down the focus of each blog.

Refine Your Niche

features drawings, caricatures, stories, and anecdotes featuring mature age people, in ink, with hand written with pen and ink quotes, motivations, or anecdotal stories about caricatures of senor years. Find a Niche and Commit to it

This is an example of Commitment
Penned by artist, author and guest blogger, Ryn Shell

I recall when I invested $7,500. on a professional pottery studio, half a lifetime ago, and before I could throw a pot. Some people thought I was mad.

My man never doubted me—bless him. I firmly believed that all I needed was a desire to become a good potter, a skilled tutor, and a lot of practice and I would become, and I did become, an award-winning master potter and sculpture—as well as remaining an artist as my primary profession. I'm not saying that to beat my drum. I state it as a reminder that I need to take that same determined approach to create videos.

To become skilled at pottery, I needed to throw 1000 pots before I could throw a good one. I needed to throw another 2000 pots before I could consistently throw good ones. So. if it takes me 3000 video shoots and editing sessions to master this, I'll put that work in—but master the skill I will. It is happening. It took me six weeks of quality tuition and full-time practice to throw pots as well as your average potter. It took much more to reach the standard I was after.
This video was so much fun to make, I hope you enjoy it as much as Reg, the cats, Tabby and Valentine and I enjoyed making it. The cats have been using it for a few years now and it has made life easier for us humans. If you would like to know more about the amazing Litter-Robot III Open Air, its available in Australia.
